How to deliver thousands of event photos to guests
Cull and export first, put each function in its own folder, and upload the whole event folder in one go. Pick a smaller upload size when guests will look on phones. Share the link once the first photos are ready: guests can search those while the rest are still being added.

1. Cull and export
Export the photos you mean to deliver as JPEGs. When you pick a smaller upload size, PixSpace shrinks JPEG and PNG photos on your computer before sending them. HEIC photos and camera RAW files upload as they are and are kept, and guests see JPEG copies of them. For a RAW file that copy is the JPEG the camera stored inside it, which some cameras make smaller than full size, so exporting JPEGs is still best.
2. One event, a folder per function
Make one event for the wedding, with a folder for each function: Haldi, Sangeet, Pheras, Reception. One selfie search then covers them all; separate events would each need their own search. On plans that include album chapters, each top-level folder becomes a chapter of the guest album.
3. Pick an upload size
- Web (1600 px long edge): Fastest upload, least storage. Sharp on phones and laptops, where guests look at them.
- Medium (2560 px long edge): Up to 2½ times as long to upload as Web. Sharp on big screens and TVs.
- Large (4096 px long edge): Up to 6 times as long as Web, and as much storage. Good for guests who print, up to A4.
- Original (As shot): Slowest upload, most storage. Every pixel kept, for large prints.
Your choice is remembered in this browser for next time.
4. Upload the whole folder
Drop the event folder anywhere on the Photos tab, check it in the review, and send. A part that fails is tried again on its own, and a photo already in the event is skipped as a duplicate. Uploads keep running while you move around the dashboard; keep the browser open until they finish.
5. Retry what failed
Photos that still fail wait in the Failed view, where Retry all tries them again.
6. Share early
Face search opens once the first photos are ready. Share the link or put up the standee then: guests search what’s ready while the rest is added, and can come back for more.
Questions
Do my folders show in the guest album?
On plans with album chapters, each top-level folder becomes a chapter of the guest album. You can give a chapter a name for guests, or hide a folder so guests never see its photos.
Who owns the photos?
You do. You keep ownership of the photos you upload, and you confirm you have the right to share them with your event’s guests.
